When is the best time to pick blueberries? Blueberries typically ripen in the summer months, but the exact timing can vary based on your location. Early morning or late afternoon are ideal times to pick, as the temperatures are cooler and the berries are often sweeter.
How do I know when the blueberries are ripe? Ripe blueberries are plump, firm, and have a deep blue color. They should easily come off the bush with a gentle tug. Avoid picking any that are red or green, as these are not yet ready to be enjoyed.
Can I eat the blueberries while I pick? Absolutely! Sampling the berries as you pick is part of the fun.
What do I do with my blueberries once I get home? Fresh blueberries are incredibly versatile! You can eat them as a snack, add them to smoothies, bake them into muffins, or even make homemade jam. They also freeze well up to 12 months.

If you have been before, you know what to do…
1. Enter your details in the BLUEBERRY PICKING REGISTRATION BOOK
2. Grab a CLEAN BUCKET
3. Head down and pick your berries
4. Return to the shed and WEIGH YOUR BERRIES
5. Record your pick in the DAILY BOOK
6 PAY FOR YOUR BERRIES – Cash is preferred however transfer is available if you forgot cash.
CASH - Put the cash (kgs x $30) in an envelope, write DATE, your NAME and AMOUNT on the envelope, drop in the CASH BOX on the wall.
